Welcome to a brand a new school year! We hope that you have had a well earned rest and a lovely summer! We have an exciting curriculum planned for you this year.
Please note the following:
PE days are Tuesday and Friday therefore school PE kits are to be brought in on those days. The school PE Kit is as follows: white t-shirt, black shorts & black pumps. Please label all items with your child's name and send into school in a drawstring bag. This will be kept in school and sent home every holiday to be washed and returned.
Please make sure that your child also has the following in school:
- Reusable water bottle - Please label if possible. Water bottles can stay in school and will be washed and refilled daily.
Please feel free to send in a piece of fruit or fruit in a pot for your child at snack time.
Year 6 Homework
Reading – reading every day. Reading records must be signed by a parent or carer each day.
Comprehension – comprehension task completed each week.
Spelling - Spelling – 10 spellings linked to phonics or spelling rules and the common exception words for Year 5 and 6 will be sent home each week and children will be tested on Friday. Children must learn spellings
Maths – revision of all multiplication tables. Each Friday there will be a multiplication test in class.
Year 6 children will also be set additional SATs prep homework between the months of March and May.
