On World Kindness Day, children created many cards to send to the Covid Ward at our local NHS hospital Stepping Hill. We invited one of our parent nurses in and sung Wonder by Emeli Sande to her and presented her with the cards to give out to staff at the hospital. We also asked her lots of questions too. It was a truly wonderful experience and very moving for us all. The video was played to staff at the hospital and we recieved this feedback from them:
Thank you for such a lovely email and attachment and for taking the time to contact us. I have forwarded this onto our communications team for sharing with staff.
Please say a massive thank you to all the wonderful children for a fantastic performance and let them know that this will indeed brighten the day of all the front line staff.
We wanted to impact on others lives during this desperately hard time and lift their spirits and remind them of how wonderful they truly are! Please see the video below!
‘Staff were struggling in the hospitals so it’s important for them to see that children care about them. It made me feel happy to do this and make them feel not alone during this time.’
