Autumn 2 End of week 2

Date: 12th Nov 2021 @ 4:21pm

It's Friday again! Another week has flown by for us.

This week has been very busy as usual. Yesterday we stood outside at 11am for the 2 minutes silence to remember the end of the war and the soldiers who have died.

The children were all extrememly respectful and I was so proud of them all. As you will have seen, the children made a poppy with Mrs Wilkins. They also watched a beautiful CBeebies animation which captured their imaginations and also their hearts. We have prayed for the soldiers and talked about how brave they were. The children will hopefully be able to tell you about their learning this week.

Next week is another themed week for Early Years children - World Nursery Rhyme week. Nursery rhymes are a fantastic way for children to learn. Each day there will be a rhyme of the day and the children will complete challenges.

It is also Anti-Bullying week next week. The theme for this is ONE KIND WORD. On Friday we will celebrate Friendship Friday, which is very appropriate for our youngest children.

On another topic; I have had a few parents asking about a Nativity play or Christmas concert.  At the moment Stockport still has one of the highest Covid19 rates. We need to ensure that we are all kept safe and not mixing in large groups indoors. As a staff we are curently discussing what we will be able to do. We will inform you as soon a a decision is made.

Have a lovely weekend
