Spring 2 - End of term

Date: 15th Apr 2022 @ 12:14pm

This week marked the end of the Spring term. We have been learning all about the Easter story and what happened to Jesus. The children acted out being in Jerusalem and welcomed Jesus as he arrived on a donkey. They waved palm leaves and shouted "Hosanna, blessed be the king"

Also this week we said goodbye to Mrs Spinks. In her leaving assembly the children sang a version of So Long, Farewell from The Sound of Music. The guests at the assembly were amazed at how well they did. Mrs Spinks praised them for their lovely singing also.

The children are really growing in confidence and throughout the year I can see how much they have learnt and changed. In the Summer term we will be working hard to ensure that they are all ready for year 1. As always it is important that your child is reading when at home and maybe watching the videos on my class page to help with learning their key words.

Have a lovely Easter and I will see you back in school on Tuesday 26th April.

Best wishes

Mrs Buckley
