Wellspring visit

Lesson: British Values

On Thursday 19th December Year 6, along with Mrs Davies, Mrs Stokes and Mrs Buckley visited the Wellspring centre. The purpose of the visit was to take the money raised from the sale of Nativity and raffle tickets, the staff 'Secret Santa' collection and also the donations of food and toiletries.

The children in Year 6, along with staff, made Christmas crackers containing toiletries and surprises for the people who use the Wellspring service at Christmas.  We were shown around by a very lovely volunteer, who explained what the Wellspring provides for it's users. It was an extremely humbling visit.

Thank you so much for your donations of food and toiletries and especially for the Nativity ticket and raffle money. Altogether we raised £380!! A cheque for £200 has been donated to the Wellspring centre. This will provide 40 people with a Christmas dinner.

Kind Regards

Mrs Buckley
