Wellspring Christmas Boxes

Date: 16th Dec 2021 @ 12:18pm

Today we delivered 24 Christmas boxes to the Wellspring Centre. The boxes were filled with the necessities needed when you are homeless-toiletries and some added goodies to add a bit of festive cheer-sweets and biscuits.

We also took some items of food that had been donated by Mr Russell's cookery club and some children in Year 3/4.

Year 6 wanted to show the true meaning of giving, by sharing with others who are less fortunate than ourselves-often through no fault of their own.

We are very lucky to have so much and often don't always appreciate what we have, or are given, Thank you is often forgotten at this time of year, and we have had many discussions in class about the importance of gratitude, and how we can show our love to others. We have also thought about how we can change how we take things for granted-especially in the current climate and after the past months due to Covid.

We want to thank the staff and families who helped us with our Christmas challenge, by making donations.

We hope we can look forward to your continuing support in the future.

God bless you all.
